our impact
Second Chance Paws is entirely foster-based - no shelter facility, no overhead beyond vet bills, food, and transport - which means every dollar follows a specific animal from an overcrowded county shelter into a real living room. We placed seven animals in permanent homes last month alone, including Max, who waited four months in foster after a rough surrender before someone said yes. New intakes like Biscuit get a full vet workup before they're ever listed, so "available for adoption" always means actually ready.

Biscuit is cleared and officially listed
Vet workup came back clean - Biscuit is healthy, fixed, and up for adoption as of today. Two serious inquiries already, both meet-and-greets scheduled for this weekend. Foster-to-placement is always the update we like writing most, so expect a follow-up the second one of them sticks.

Our best adoption month yet: five dogs, two cats, one very good boy named Max
Five dogs and two cats went home permanently in July - the best month we've had all year. Max was the one that had us worried: four months in foster after a rough surrender before the right family finally said yes. A couple of those placements just freed up foster space, so if you've got room for a medium-energy dog for a few weeks, now's the time to reach out.
